Dr. Debra Block

Dr. Block always knew that her purpose in life was to help people to improve their lives. After attending the University of Florida and obtaining her B.S. in Psychology, she realized that she wanted to help people improve their health both mentally and physically. She discovered the awesome benefits of Chiropractic care in 1997 while attending Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

Dr. Block received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001 and went on to develop her own practice within Horizon Healthcare Group in Sandy Springs, Georgia. After practicing in Georgia for two years, Dr. Block decided to return home to Maryland and continue practicing Chiropractic close to her family and friends.

After joining a practice in Laurel, MD and treating patients there for 5 years, Dr. Block decided to open her office in Burtonsville, MD and accomplish her dream of running her own practice and treating patients with the individualized attention and high quality of care that she feels patients deserve and need in this current world of healthcare.

For the entirety of her career, Dr. Block has consistently educated herself on the newest advances in the chiropractic profession as well as the latest developments in patient care. She is certified in the Webster Technique for chiropractic care during pregnancy and is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Block is also now certified in Dry Needling. Dr. Block’s philosophy is to care for patients in the way that she would want to be cared for. She strives hard every day to be the type of doctor that can give patients the assistance that they are looking for, whether it is with a smile, friendly greeting, courtesy phone call, or a hug, individualized attention is what makes Dr. Block an exemplary doctor and healthcare provider.

Dr. Michael Dulski

Dr. Michael Dulski received his undergraduate degree in Biology from LaSalle University. After working in clinical research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and learning to appreciate the importance of health and wellness, Dr. Dulski decided to pursue a doctorate of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Dulski gained extensive experience with infants and toddlers while volunteering with the Vincentian Service Corps. Additionally, while working with The AIDS Resource Foundation in Newark, NJ, he had the opportunity to work with children and with an early intervention team consisting of Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses, and Physical Therapists. He learned the significant importance and beneficial nature of collaborative health care as a result of this experience. Dr. Dulski has over 20 years of clinical experience treating chiropractic patients of all ages with a variety of conditions. Dr. Dulski’s main focus and priority in practice is to encourage and educate patients to reach and exceed their health goals. In order to do this, he uses a range of effective techniques based on the individual needs of the patient. Dr. Dulski is trained in Chiropractic Biophysics, Diversified, Activator, Drop Table, Active Release Technique, Webster, and Extremity adjusting. Block Chiropractic is happy to have Dr. Dulski, aka Dr. Mike as part of our team.

Dr. Kate Bodenberg

Dr. Kate Bodenberg is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Kate is licensed in Maryland as a Supervising Doctor of Chiropractic with Physical Therapy privileges. She has previously enjoyed practicing in Baltimore County and Howard County. Dr. Bodenberg has worked hard to center her practice around evidence-guided treatments. This equates to her constant pursuit of the evolution of learning, training, and implementing new information into practice as it becomes available. Taking this approach has allowed her to help patients achieve the individual goals they have set. Dr. Kate’s current certifications include; Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehab and Sport Performance, Graston Technique, and Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified Instructor. These post-graduate certifications enhance her abilities in rehabilitation and manual therapies. She is also trained in Diversified, drop table, and activator techniques. Dr. Bodenberg is happy to be a part of the Block Chiropractic team.

Dr. Lindsay McDonald

Dr. McDonald received a degree in Biology from Syracuse University before attending New York Chiropractic College for her doctorate of chiropractic degree. Shortly after graduating she moved to Maryland.

Before joining Block Chiropractic, Dr. McDonald worked at a practice in Silver Spring, MD that specialized in treating patients who had been in car accidents. She is trained in diversified, drop table, activator, flexion-distraction, and soft tissue techniques. Dr. McDonald is currently certified in the Webster Technique and is a member of the ICPA. She is also certified in SpiderTech kinesiology taping. Dr. McDonald currently holds an active license as a supervising chiropractor in Maryland.

Dr. McDonald enjoys helping people feel and function at their very best. Her goal in practice is to educate her patients and encourage them to take an active role in their health care.

Betty Chang, LAc, LMT

Betty received her Masters degree in Oriental Medicine, encompassing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, in 2018 from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, MD. She has been trained in two different types of acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, or medicinal skin scraping, and moxibustion, a form of heat therapy great for blood circulation, boosting the immune system, and energy flow. Her experience of being a massage therapist prior to receiving her acupuncture license has aided her in refining her skills when offering a healing presence and a safe and comforting space for all patients.

Betty has a genuine passion for helping and serving others; and helping them achieve an optimal level of healthy living. She honors every individual coming to seek care, and the treatments are uniquely designed for one’s specific needs. Acupuncture is a natural, safe, and holistic treatment that can support one’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state of being. Oftentimes, Betty integrates her acupuncture and massage skills to give a therapeutic, restorative and effective treatment. She has experience treating many conditions including: body, joint, and nerve pain; acute and chronic fatigue, sleep, digestive, and hormonal issues, including women’s health; as well as emotional imbalances, like anxiety, depression, fear, and worry. Betty’s ultimate goal is to help facilitate the body’s natural ability to heal itself, and for people to feel like themselves again.

Dr. Elizabeth Zou, LAc, OMD

Dr. Zou received her Bachelor’s degree of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) from Hubei University Chinese Medicine in 1989, and received her Master’s degree of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from Dongguk University of Los Angeles, CA in 2013.

Dr. Zou is both board certified by the state of California and Maryland Acupuncture Boards. She is also certified by NCCAOM for Acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She has been in active practice with TCM and practicing Acupuncture for over 20 years.

Dr. Zou specializes in treating symptoms and issues related to: pain management, PMS, migraine headaches, infertility, menstrual disorders, stress, depression, men’s health care, cancer care (including side effects of chemo & radiation), stroke rehabilitation, hypertension, Bell’s Palsy, and Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr. Zou uses specialized Dragon needles (new needles derived from ancient needle methods) for pain relief. This specific needle therapy has many advantages. Dragon needle therapy is significantly effective for joint pain of the neck, shoulders, waist, legs and other body parts, as well as symptoms related to cancerous pain. This special needle therapy requires a high level of practitioner skillfulness.

Jamila Graham, LMT

Jamila Graham is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training institute. Board certified and a licensed massage therapist, she is trained in Swedish and deep tissue massage. Jamila is also certified in Massage for the Childbearing Years, which includes pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

Jamila loves to help her clients relieve stress and achieve relaxation through massage. She provides a safe, calm, and soothing environment. Jamila is an attentive and caring therapist that really listens to her clients. Most of her clients come complaining of tension in their neck and back. She tailors her sessions to meet the clients needs. She uses a combination of Swedish and deep tissue to provide muscle tension relief. Being a Reiki practitioner she also provides her clients with positive healing energy. Jamila believes in everyone needing to take time for themselves to recharge and relax.

Gwen Cook, LMT

Gwen Cook, LMT is a Nationally Certified and State Licensed Massage Therapist. Gwen is extremely compassionate when caring for others, while assisting them in their journey towards better health. Gwen’s main purpose with her work is to educate and empower people to live a pain free and wholesome lifestyle: physically, mentally and spiritually. Gwen’s areas of specialty include: Orthopedic Massage, Oncology Massage, Thai Massage, Prenatal Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Reiki and Chair Massage.

Gwen is a certified Licensed Massage Therapist with her certification from the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) and she is licensed by the Maryland Board of Chiropractic Examiners, with her State of Maryland License (2001). Gwen is also Nationally Licensed from The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) (2001).

Gwen’s love for mankind is diverse, she loves to travel and explore the world. Experiencing art, music, culture, food and different ways of life keep her excited and inspired. Whenever she’s not working or traveling, Gwen likes to spend time with her family of four older sisters, four younger brothers, her parents and plenty of nieces and nephews.

Joslin Evans, LMT

Joslin Evans is a person who loves helping others. Ms. Evans graduated in 2008, from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) with a degree in Recreation Therapy. Recreational Therapists use recreational interests and other activity based interventions to assist individual(s) with having a better quality of life. Helping people to have a better quality of life became Joslin’s passion and one of those therapies utilized included massage. After becoming educated about massage and it’s numerous benefits, Ms. Evans knew that she wanted to use massage to help people. In 2012, Ms. Evans decided to go back to school for massage therapy. In 2014, Ms. Evans graduated from The Holistic Massage Training Institute (Baltimore, MD). Ms. Evans has been practicing massage for the last 8 years and she loves that she has a chance to positively impact the lives of all people that she works with. Ms. Evans uses the following massage techniques: Swedish, deep tissue massage, reflexology, sports, prenatal and fertility massage in order to benefit a various population of massage clients.

Shari Kornak

Shari joined Block Chiropractic Center at the beginning of February, 2016. She has over 25 years of Administrative experience with the last 11+ years as an Office Manager. The career shift to working in a Chiropractic office is a challenge that Shari welcomes. Having been a chiropractic patient for over 15 years, Shari understands the benefits of rehabilitative services and natural wellness.

In her free time Shari enjoys spending time with family & friends, routing for the Caps & Orioles and reading.

Joanna Quintanilla

Joanna has worked at Block Chiropractic since 2022 while simultaneously attending Howard Community College. Joanna is in her second year studying for a Nursing degree and then she plans to attend a University and receive her Bachelor’s degree and hopes to ultimately pursue a P.A. license and become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys traveling out of the country and spending time with family and friends. Joanna is also fluent in Spanish. Sonia Cosma-Wilbur

Sonia joined Block Chiropractic in April of 2022. She has joined our staff as a receptionist while she pursues a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She is also pursuing her 500 hour yoga teacher certification and plans to further her education in alternative medicine. Having explored a variety of wellness practices and therapies, Sonia understands the importance of a holistic approach to health. In her free time Sonia enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring nature, reading, and trying new restaurants.
